How to rent furniture props for a film
Chair up has been renting movie props to some of the greatest films and Television shows in NY for the last decade. If this is your first time renting with us please read through our rental terms and email us your tax exempt information if applicable to sales@chairup.com
How to get a rental quote:
- Add products to your quote and submit to get pricing & availability
- Try to put back-up options in case products are out of stock/ non-rentable
- When submitting your quote in the "comments" field write "Rental, and the duration
- Put the date you need it by (best to put the latest possible day to not limit your options)
- Submit a quote, and give us 24 hours to send back with availability & pricing.
- If you need an answer sooner please still submit a quote request and then call or email to expedite (212-353-0056 sales@chairup.com) with quote number
- Rates: All rental orders are charged by the week no matter if you need it for less. Anytime over a week there is a 10% rental fee per business day OR let us know in advance for better rates.
- Terms: We do not extend credit or NET30 terms. We expect to be paid before or upon pick up. We understand that this isn't always possible in tight time crunches so if you cannot get a check cut in time for pick up we can put a Hold on a credit card until the check arrives or review your payment history with us. Please mention this upfront though and we will try to work with you.
- Cancellations: Rentals that are confirmed and then canceled before pickup are subject to a 30-50% restocking fee or Credit. This is done on a case by case basis and we will try to work with you depending on the situation and how much time and effort we already put into the job. Try to cancel within 48 hours to avoid any fees
- Pick up: Pickups will either be from our Brooklyn warehouse (810 Bank st, Brooklyn NY 11236) or our showroom (48 Delancey st, New York, NY 10002)
- Drop-offs: Drop-offs are almost always at our warehouse (810 Bank st, Brooklyn NY 11236)
- Damages: We understand it happens. Please notify us before returning (with photos if possible) We will asses on a case by case basis and try to work with you.
Most upholstered items are made-to-order so they normally are not ineligible for rental although it never hurts to ask (upholstered seats in black are normally available).
It is best to look for “quick-ship” items. After selecting a product category, you can use the side-filter to narrow down the selection.
